Maldives Restaurant è un ristorante girevole con vista sottomarina, fissato al fondo marino con un semplice ma efficace sistema di ancoraggio. Maldives Restaurant può essere spostato in diversi luoghi tramite una propria motorizzazione o con traino.
Una caratteristica speciale del Maldives Restaurant è la lenta rotazione su un perno, che rende la visione sui coralli sempre mutevole ed affascinante.
Maldives Restaurant è posto su due livelli: il ponte e la sala ristorante semi-sommersa.
Gli ospiti salgono a bordo del ristorante dal pontile tramite una passerella. Un’ampia scalinata conduce gradualmente gli ospiti nel salone semi-sommerso. Una coreografia di luci ed effetti attentamente studiati enfatizza la discesa sott’acqua. Il salone è di per sé un’attrattiva: l’ambiente sottomarino naturale combinato con luci, colori, specchi ed effetti ben orchestrati rendono il luogo unico e indimenticabile. La reazione di meraviglia degli ospiti sarà molto gratificante per noi ideatori del ristorante e per i proprietari.
La visione sottomarina è assicurata da ampie finestre. I tavoli stessi hanno parti concave trasparenti, che permettono ai pesci di avvicinarsi agli ospiti. La pavimentazione sarà parzialmente ricoperta di legno e sabbia per maggiore comfort. Su richiesta è possibile realizzare delle vasche collegate al mare, nelle quali tenere pesce fresco da cucinare.
Il ponte è coperto da un tetto in palma e la parte centrale è aperta sul salone da pranzo. Il corridoio circolare che corre tutto intorno, ben protetto verso la parte interna da una balaustra, permette agli ospiti di raggiungere la passerella per scendere a terra in qualsiasi momento, anche mentre il ristorante ruota.
Varianti: il Maldives Restaurant può essere dotato di cucina e servizi autonomi posizionati sul ponte. Alternativamente il ponte può essere adibito a bar, con altri tavoli e servizi. Eventualmente questo locale può essere chiuso e dotato di aria condizionata.
La costruzione consiste di parti modulari che vengono poi assemblate in loco all’asciutto. Una volta che la struttura principale è assemblata, viene calata in acqua e trainata fino ad uno speciale palo (perno) ancorato al fondo marino. Maldives Restaurant is a circular restaurant with submarine view, fixed to the sea bottom through an easy but efficient anchoring system. Maldives Restaurant may be moved to different locations either by self propulsion (if motorized) or towed by a tug.
A special feature of Maldives Restaurant is the slow rotation on a pivot, which makes the vision onto the reef always changing and enchanting.
Maldives Restaurant is on two levels: the deck and the semi-submerged dining salon.
Guests board onto the restaurant from the pier through a gangway. A vast staircase gradually leads the guests to the semi-submerged dining salon. A carefully studied choreography of lights and effects emphasizes the descend underwater. The dining salon is an attraction in itself: the natural underwater environment combined with lights, colors, mirrors and wisely orchestrated effects make the place unique and unforgettable. The guests’ reaction of wonder shall be deeply gratifying to us who conceived the restaurant and to those who own it.
The submarine view is assured by vast windows. The tables themselves have concave transparent parts, which allow fish to come close to the guests. The flooring shall be partly covered with wood and sand for more comfort. Upon request some aquariums with sea-water coming into them shall be placed all around, where fresh fishes may be kept to be cooked for the guests.
The deck is roofed and the central part is open onto the dining salon. The circular corridor that runs all around, well sheltered towards the inner part by banisters, allow the guests to reach the gangway to land at any time, even when the restaurant is rotating.
As an alternative, the deck may allocate a kitchen and all the facilities to operate autonomously from facilities on land. Or a bar with other tables and seats may be located on deck; in case the bar may be closed and fitted with air conditioning.
The construction consists of modular parts to be assembled at destination in dry condition. When the main structure is assembled, the whole construction is lowered down into the water and towed to a special pole (pivot) anchored to the sea-bottom. The final stage is the introduction of the ballast into the restaurant, the completion of the roofing and the inner finishing.
