B&W aims at creating a floating restaurant which is unique.
RISTSUB is, in fact, a floating restaurant with submarine view which may either float permantely anchored in a harbour or in sheltered waters, or it may navigate for short distances. In order to be displaced from one location to another one, RISTSUB may be motorized or pulled by a tow-boat. RISTSUB is shaped like a boat, with bow and stern, but the final destination as a restaurant has been more taken into account in the project than its hidrodynamics.
RISTSUB stretches on three levels: water-level, submarine level and fly-bridge.
Passengers reach the water-line level through a gangway or ladder according to the level of the dock. When boarding, they enter a central tunnel with a vast staicase that gradually leads them underwater. A studied choreography of lights and effects emphasizes the descend underwater. The dining salon is an attraction in itself: the underwater environment, partly natural and partly faithfully recreated, combined with lights, colors, mirrors and wisely orchestrated effects make the place unique and unforgettable. The passengers’ reaction of wonder will be deeply gratifying to us who conceived the boat and to those who own it.
The submarine view is assured by vast windows. The tables themselves have concave transparent parts, which allow fish to come close to the passengers. Other transparent hollow parts are located on the ceiling and into the floor, either linked to the sea or in the form of enclosed aquariums for aquaculture. A containing frame encloses RISTSUB to guarantee the constant presence of fish and to host special species, like dolphins, sharks, or big ones.
The salon is divided into three areas with tables, of which the central one can be removed to create room for dancing or shows. Two staircases reach the salon, from bow and from stern, plus two emergency stairs.
On the water level you find: a reception area; a bar, or ice-cream shop, or other (as preferred); kitchen for 80/100 people communicating to the submarine salon through a goods-lift; lavatory.
The upper level can be reached through a staicase. It may be used for sunbathing or also as open bar with tables and beach-umbrellas or sunshading tends.
The construction consists of modular parts to be assembled at destination in dry condition. When assembled, the whole construction is lowered down into the water through a crane. The final stage is the making of the concrete ballast and the anchoring.
