Questo progetto prevede la costruzione di moduli abitativi singoli con struttura in vetroresina rinforzata e finiture interne adatte all’ambiente marino. I moduli sono parzialmente subacquei, in modo da offrire la visione sottomarina dall’interno. Le finiture sono di alta qualità. Ogni modulo è completamente autonomo.

Un pontile in legno che parte dalla spiaggia conduce ai singoli moduli. Ogni modulo è composto da due livelli e circondato da una piattaforma circolare. Una scala interna porta al locale semi-sommerso, dotato di tre ampie finestrature. Il soffitto di questo locale è per circa metà area aperto verso il livello superiore. Il locale inferiore può essere arredato come zona notte e la parte superiore come zona giorno, o vice-versa. Il bagno è nella zona semi-sommersa e presenta finiture lussuose.

La piattaforma esterna è predisposta per essere utilizzata durante il giorno come zona prendisole, base per il bagno, e vita all’aperto in genere. E’ dotata di sdraio e parasole, vasca con idromassaggio con fondo trasparente parzialmente immersa nel mare, con piano di calpestio in legno. La parte esterna è protetta da arredi vegetali che garantiscono anche la privacy.

Suite presidenziale

La versione di lusso (suite presidenziale) consiste di un modulo simile ai precedenti con, in aggiunta, ulteriori due piattaforme: sulla prima è posizionato un ulteriore modulo abitativo, arredabile come seconda camera da letto con servizi oppure come zona giorno. La seconda piattaforma è aperta, con copertura e adibita a vita all’aperto.

Piante e vegetazione circondano la suite per garantire la massima privacy.

I singoli moduli sono dotati di:

- impianto aria condizionata
- impianto elettrico a bassa tensione
- luci di cortesia a fibre ottiche
- luci subacquee per l’illuminazione notturna in acqua
- impianto stereo / televisivo
- ampie finestrature per la visione subacquea
- impianto per la “passeggiata” subacquea, composto da generatore d’aria per immersioni accessoriato per due persone
- modulo bagno in vetroresina dotato di: lavandino, bidet, doccia, wc chimico

Piattaforma

Materiali utilizzati:

- per la struttura vetroresina e acciaio inox
- per i rivestimenti interni: legno marino (tipo okume, iroko, …)
- parti metalliche: ottone lucido e acciaio

Fasi di costruzione

1. i moduli verranno costruiti presso la sede del costruttore; verranno assemblati, collaudati e verrà effettuato il controllo di qualità;
2. saranno quindi parzialmente smontati per permettere il trasporto in container e casse di legno;
3. le parti saranno trasportate con ogni cura al luogo di destinazione e sistemate in un luogo riparato
4. ogni modulo verrà assemblato in luogo riparato (per evitare possibili infiltrazioni d’acqua);
5. una volta terminato, il modulo verrà calato in acqua e trainato fino alla posizione predefinita (preventivamente sarà stato costruito il pontile in legno; inoltre saranno stati fissati al fondale appositi pali in locazioni predefinite); di seguito verrà introdotta la zavorra nel modulo, fino a raggiungere la posizione di immersione desiderata; infine il modulo verrà fissato ai pali;
6. verranno effettuati i collegamenti con i servizi (elettricità ed acqua);
7. realizzazione delle coperture;
8. finiture interne

Non inclusi nella fornitura (per la maggior parte perché non sarebbe conveniente la fornitura dall’Italia):

1. pontile in legno
2. pali da ancorare al fondo nelle posizioni predefinite dal progetto
3. pavimentazione in legno di tutte le parti esterne
4. coperture in palma da cocco
5. elettricità fino ad ogni unità abitativa; illuminazione del pontile
6. trasporto di tutte le parti da porto di arrivo alla destinazione finale
7. manodopera per movimentazione parti
8. vitto e alloggio per manovalanza del produttore
9. assistenza per il reperimento in loco di un fornitore di calcestruzzo per la zavorra
10. arredi (possono essere presentati preventivi di arredi italiani per valutazione)

The project comprises the construction of single lodging modules consisting of a reinforced fibreglass structure and inner finish such to stand sea-water conditions. The modules shall be partly immersed, so to provide an underwater sea view from inside. The finish shall be of a high level. Each module shall be self-contained.

A wooden pier leaves from the beach and leads to the lagoon villas. Each villa consists of two floors and is surrounded by a external circular platform. An inner staircase leads to the semi-submerged room. The room is provided with three vast underwater windows and about half area of the ceiling is open to the upper level. The semi-submerged room may be furnished as the bedroom and the upper floor as the living room, or vice-versa. The bathroom is located in the semi-submerged floor and has deluxe finish.

The open platform is fitted for the open-air life with wooden floor, deck-chairs, Jacuzzi with transparent bottom partly immersed in the sea. The external part of the platform is sheltered by plants which also provide privacy.

Presidential suite

The deluxe version (presidential suite) consists of one module similar to the other plus two additional adjoining platforms: on one an additional lodging module is located, which may be furnished as second bed-room + bathroom or as living-room. The other platform is open, roofed and fitted for the open-air life.

Plants and vegetation surround the suite for superior privacy.

Description:

Each villa is provided with:

- Air conditioning
- Low-tension electric plant
- Courtesy lights made with optical fibres
- Submarine lighting in the water for sea-watching at night
- Stereophonic plant + television
- Wide windows for the submarine view
- Plant for the “submarine walk”, comprising an air generator fitted for two people that supply air down to five meters
- Bathroom module with luxury finish comprising: wash-basin, bidet, shower, chemical toilet

Platform

Pensile garden to provide privacy and improve aesthetic

Materials used:

- for the structure: reinforced fibreglass and stainless steel
- inner wainscot in sea-resistant wood (e.g. okume, iroko,…)
- metal parts: polished brass and stainless steel

Construction stages

1. the modules shall be built at the manufacturers location; they shall be assembled, tested and quality checked;
2. they shall then be partly disassembled to allow shipment in containers and wooden crates;
3. the parts shall be carefully transported to the final destination and sheltered;
4. each single module shall be assembled in a sheltered place (to prevent possible rain to fall onto it)
5. once finished, the module is put in the water and towed to the correct location (the wooden pier shall have to be previously built; furthermore special stilts shall have to be previously secured to the sea-bottom in pre-arranged locations); secondly the ballast shall be introduced in the module, so to make it sink to the desired position; finally it shall be fastened to the stilts;
6. the module shall then be connected to the utilities (electricity and water)

Not included in the supply (most of them because not convenient to be supplied from Italy):

1. wooden pier
2. special stilts to be anchored to the sea-bottom at locations according to project
3. wooden flooring of all external parts
4. roofing in coconut

6. transportation of all the parts from Malè harbour (after unloading of the containers) to the final location
